Vivo X500 Pro Max, Vivo V80 Global Received NBTC Certification, Launch Expected in October

It appears Vivo is moving closer to the global launch of at least two new smartphones, if not more. The Vivo X500 Pro Max and Vivo V80 have now received certification from Thailand’s NBTC, which suggests that both devices are progressing toward an expected global debut. Here’s more on the recent certification.

Vivo X500 Pro Max and Vivo V80 Get Thailand NBTC Approval

The latest update was shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav @yabhishekhd on X, who also claims that both smartphones could make their global debut in October.

Vivo X500 Pro Max NBTC Approved.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max carrying model number V2610 has been approved by Thailand’s NBTC under certificate number B3863-26. The listing confirms support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE and NR (5G) networks. It also specifies supported frequency ranges including 890–915MHz for transmission and 935–960MHz for reception.

Vivo V80 NBTC Approved.

The Vivo V80, meanwhile, has also been certified in Thailand with the model number V2648 and under certificate number B8362-26. The certification confirms support for GSM, WCDMA and LTE networks. The listed frequency ranges include 880–915MHz / 925–960MHz and 1710–1785MHz / 1805–1880MHz, confirming support for multiple cellular bands.

The NBTC approval indicates that the phones have cleared the required regulatory checks for radio signal transmission.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to feature the Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset and a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary camera, 50-megapixel camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

The phone is also tipped to pack a battery of up to 8,000mAh with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. On the software side, it could run Android 17.

The Vivo V80 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display. For photography, it could get a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. It is expected to support 4K video at 240fps video recording.

According to tipster Anvin on X, the upcoming V80 could also become Vivo’s first smartphone to ship with OriginOS 7 and Android 17 preinstalled.

The tipster also suggests that Vivo V80 may bring several camera-focused features. These could include creator-focused camera and editing features along with an AI Creative Camera offering more than 30 AI effects. The phone could also introduce features such as Live Sticker Collage and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, adding more AI-based creative options for photography.

The phone is tipped to feature a 7,200mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery in the Vivo V series. Vivo is also expected to claim up to two days of battery life, while charging support could include 90W wired charging.

Vivo has not officially confirmed the global launch date or the specifications mentioned above. The specs and features mentioned in this report remain unconfirmed until the brand makes an official announcement.
