Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Prices To Soon Hike In India

Highlights

  • Samsung is reportedly planning price hikes in India for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
  • Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra may also see their first price revisions since launch, adding to recent industry-wide hikes.
  • Samsung has not officially announced any price revisions.

Samsung could soon increase the prices of some of its flagship smartphones in India. If latest rumours are true, Galaxy S26 Ultra along with the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra could also become more expensive. Here’s what we know so far.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Price Hike Coming

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could be the first Samsung flagship model to receive a price increase. The smartphone was launched in India in February this year and according to the latest claim by tipser Abhishek Yadav on X, Samsung is now planning to revise its price.

The tipster has reportedly received information from his source that the hike is confirmed and will take place soon. However, there is currently no information about how much extra buyers may have to pay for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is currently priced at Rs 1,39,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB configuration is priced at Rs 1,59,999, while the top-end 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model costs Rs 1,89,999.

Samsung could also raise the prices of its foldable flagships in India. The tipster claims that both the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra are expected to be affected by the upcoming price revision.

If the information proves accurate, this would be the first price increase for these Samsung foldables since their respective launches.

As for current prices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 currently starts at Rs 1,79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB model costs Rs 1,99,999, while the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration is priced at Rs 2,39,999.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, on the other hand, already starts at the high price of Rs 1,99,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB version costs Rs 2,19,999, while the top-end 16GB RAM and 1TB variant is priced at Rs 2,59,999.

The possibility of another price hike also comes at a time when several smartphone brands have recently increased prices across their lineups. This makes the reported Samsung price revision seem possible, although there is still no official confirmation from the Korean brand.
