Oppo is reportedly working on a new wide screen flagship smartphone with high-end camera configuration expected. While some rumoured details have been doing the rounds about this model at present, a new leak has now revealed details about its camera setup. Here’s what we know.
Oppo’s Wide Screen Phone Camera Specs Leaked
According to the latest post from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Oppo’s rumoured wide screen phone will most likely feature a 200-megapixel primary camera and a periscope telephoto lens. Some reports have hinted that the smartphone could be called Oppo Reno X, although there has been no confirmation yet.
These newly revealed camera specs, however, are different from the earlier camera leak. Previous reports had claimed that the phone would have a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a periscope telephoto camera.
As of now, all leaks seem to be based on speculation and readers should consider them with a pinch of salt.
Oppo Wide Screen Phone – What Else We Know So Far?
Earlier reports have already revealed that the device could feature a 6.3-inch to 6.4-inch flat screen with extremely narrow bezels of equal width on all four sides. The panel is expected to use 1.5K resolution and LTPO technology.
While Oppo has yet to confirm the device, reports suggest that the company’s wide-screen smartphone could become a reality. As some tech reports have pointed out that the Huawei Pura X provides a useful reference for the type of design Oppo may be exploring.
This form factor typically allows users to see more of the content on the screen at once compared with conventional smartphone displays.
For now, Oppo has not officially confirmed the wide screen phone, its specifications or its launch timeline. However, tipster DCS has mentioned in the comments while responding to a user that the device could be launched alongside the upcoming Find X10 series.
