Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global launch date of its Redmi Note 17 series. The company has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will be part of the global lineup. The Pro Max model was previously not confirmed for international markets but Xiaomi’s Note 17 Series microsite on the official website now lists the device as part of the series.

Redmi Note 17 Series will be unveiled globally on August 27, 2026 after several leaks that have already revealed key details about the upcoming smartphones in the series. Xiaomi announced the launch date through its official social media account and a dedicated microsite on the Xiaomi Global website.

Several specifications of the global models had already surfaced through earlier leaks. The official microsite now confirms more details with Xiaomi focusing on durability, battery life and the overall user experience.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max’s 10,000mAh Battery and Key Specs Confirmed

Xiaomi microsite for Note 17 Series teases massive 10,000mAh typical battery capacity for the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G with 100W HyperCharge support.
Xiaomi also revealed the phones offer 3-metre certified drop resistance by SGS and it involved dropping the device onto a smooth granite surface under controlled testing conditions. The phone also come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.

The Redmi Note 17 series will feature a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution.
The performance hardware is expected to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. Xiaomi is also advertising support for up to 24GB of RAM, although users should note that this does not mean the phones will have 24GB of physical memory. The maximum configuration combines 12GB of physical RAM with up to 12GB of Memory Extension.
Xiaomi also claims a 72-month like-new software experience, which means six years of Android updates.
