Famous tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared some key details about the Honor Magic 9 through a new Weibo post. Just to recall, a tipster earlier in January had claimed that the Honor Magic 9 would feature a compact 6.36-inch display. It was also revealed that the larger Magic 9 Pro and Magic 9 Pro Max models could arrive with 6.85-inch displays.

Anyhow, the latest leak now reiterates the Honor Magic 9 will feature a 6.36-inch OLED LTPS display.

Furthermore, the smartphone is reportedly being tested with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. Interestingly, the device is said to use the existing Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor instead of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset that was previously expected.

One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone could be its battery capacity. The Honor Magic 9 is tipped to pack a battery starting with an 8,000mAh capacity, which would be unusually large for a compact flagship smartphone. The leak also suggests support for wireless charging although the exact charging speeds have not been revealed yet.
