Samsung Galaxy S27 lineup is still months away but the phones have started appearing in tips and rumours regularly now. We recently reported about the possible display size of a new Galaxy S27 Pro model expected to join the lineup. And now, a new leak from a well-known tipster has revealed more fresh details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 series. Thanks to the tipster, we have an early look at the camera upgrades expected on the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra.
Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra – Camera Specs (Leaked)
As per the information leaked by famous Samsung tipster named Ice Universe on Weibo, the Korean tech giant is planning to equip both flagship models with identical next-generation primary and ultra-wide camera sensors.
The Galaxy S27 Pro, which is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display, could reportedly borrow the same high-end main and ultra-wide cameras from the larger Galaxy S27 Ultra. However, the telephoto camera setup is expected to be the key differentiating factor between the two smartphones.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to retain a 5x periscope zoom camera paired with a 10x in-sensor crop capability. Meanwhile, the smaller Galaxy S27 Pro may either feature a 3x or 4x telephoto camera although Samsung could also opt for a smaller and more affordable 5x zoom sensor for the device.
The leak further suggests that Samsung may significantly redesign the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s camera system. The company is reportedly planning to remove the dedicated 3x telephoto lens and instead rely on in-sensor cropping technology. This would allow Samsung to shift towards a simplified triple-camera setup.
Both the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro are expected to feature a new 200-megapixel primary sensor, which is likely to be the 1/1.3-inch ISOCELL HP6 sensor. Apart from the telephoto camera differences, both smartphones are expected to share a largely similar hardware package.
Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra – What Else We Know?
Previous reports have already hinted that Galaxy S27 Pro is specifically being designed to offer flagship-grade features in a comparatively compact form factor.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to feature a larger 6.9-inch display, while the Galaxy S27 Pro may come with a 6.5-inch panel. Another major difference between the two models is expected to be S Pen support, which will likely remain exclusive to the Ultra variant.
The Pro model is also expected to share many core specifications with the Ultra variant. We can expect the models to pack Samsung’s next-generation Snapdragon chipset and the company’s Privacy Display technology among other features.
As for the launch timeline, the lineup is expected to arrive no earlier than February 2027.
