Here’s all about the latest update.

Google Nano Banana Pro Announced

In its blog post, Google explained that the primary improvement lies in upgrading the model from Gemini 2.5 Pro to Gemini 3 Pro. This shift brings enhanced contextual intelligence, better reasoning abilities and more precise output control, thanks to the company’s frontier LLM technology.

Google says the model is built to convert ideas into “studio-quality visuals” with improved accuracy, refined control tools, and enhanced multilingual text rendering. Nano Banana Pro integrates across Google products such as the Gemini app, Google Ads, Google Workspace, and the Gemini API, helping creators, professionals and enterprise users generate visuals seamlessly.

The upgraded model can produce infographics, diagrams, branded mock-ups, and other context-based visuals using live information like weather or sports updates.

It can render text directly within images even in multiple languages and maintain consistent visual styles across up to 14 reference images or depictions of up to five individuals. The tool can also convert handwritten notes into diagrams, design storyboards, and generate high-fidelity visuals with studio-level precision.

On the creative control front, users can apply localised edits, shift camera angles, modify aspect ratios, and adjust lighting or focus. Nano Banana Pro supports output resolutions up to 2K and 4K, enabling the creation of social media assets or print-ready visuals.

All images generated through Google’s tools include SynthID digital watermarking for authenticity verification. Users can confirm whether an image was created by Google AI directly within the Gemini app. Free-tier and Pro users will see visible watermarks, while Ultra subscribers and enterprise users can generate watermark-free images for professional use.

Availability and Rollout

Google confirmed that Nano Banana Pro will be accessible to all users, but rate limits will vary. Free users will receive limited quotas and will automatically revert to the original Nano Banana model once their limit is reached. Paid subscribers including Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra tiers will get higher usage limits.

The tool will also be available in AI Mode exclusively in the US for paid subscribers and will expand to NotebookLM for paying users globally.

How to Try Nano Banana Pro?

Google outlined the different ways users can access the new model:

Consumers and Students – Available globally via the Gemini app under ‘Create images’ using the ‘Thinking’ model. Free users have limited quotas, after which they switch back to the standard Nano Banana model. In AI Mode for Search, Nano Banana Pro is available in the US for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. NotebookLM also offers access for paying users worldwide.

Professionals – Google Ads is upgrading all image generation tools to Nano Banana Pro, providing advanced creative and editing capabilities for advertisers. The feature is also rolling out to Workspace users in Google Slides and Google Vids.

Developers and Enterprise – The model is beginning its rollout via the Gemini API, Google AI Studio and Google Antigravity for rich UI layouts and mockups. Enterprises can integrate it through Vertex AI starting today, with support for Gemini Enterprise coming soon.

Creatives – Google is bringing Nano Banana Pro to Flow, its AI filmmaking tool exclusively for Google AI Ultra subscribers. It will offer creators, marketers and filmmakers higher precision and creative control over scenes and frames.
