Xiaomi has released the Redmi Watch 6 and Redmi Watch 6 NFC worldwide, expanding its wearable lineup beyond China.
The Redmi Watch 6 and Watch 6 NFC first launched in China last October. Now, they are rolling out globally in Poland, Romania, and Thailand. For now, the NFC version is only available in Poland.
The new Redmi smartwatches combine a stylish look, health tracking, and long battery life, making them strong options in the affordable wearable market.
The Redmi Watch 6 features a large 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 324ppi pixel density, 2mm bezels, and an 82% screen-to-body ratio. Xiaomi says the screen can reach up to 2,000 nits of brightness for clear colours and good visibility, even in sunlight. The watch also supports an always-on display and a raise-to-wake feature.
The watch has a sleek rectangular shape and lets users choose from a variety of watch faces for both style and functionality.
It offers health-tracking features such as heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep analysis, and stress monitoring. The watch also supports over 150 sports modes, making it a versatile choice for fitness.
The watch is water-resistant, so it can handle daily use and workouts. It connects to smartphones to display notifications, show call alerts, and control music.
A key feature of the Redmi Watch 6 is its long battery life, thanks to its 550 mAh battery. Xiaomi says it can last up to 24 days on a single charge with typical use, 12 days with normal use and seven days with heavy use. This long battery life helps it stand out among budget smartwatches, making it a key differentiator.
The Redmi Watch 6 NFC adds NFC support to the standard model. This lets users make contactless payments and use compatible services more easily.
Besides NFC, the smartwatch keeps all the main features of the standard version, like the AMOLED display, fitness tracking, and long battery life.
The Redmi Watch 6 NFC has similar battery life to the standard model, though using NFC may affect it a bit. It still offers reliable multi-day use, so users do not need to charge it often.
The Redmi Watch 6 is competitively priced in global markets, starting at POL 449, RON 519, and THB 3,190. The NFC version costs a bit more at POL 499 because of its extra features.
Currently, the devices are available in Poland, Romania, and Thailand. However, the Redmi Watch 6 NFC is currently available only in Poland.
With this launch, Xiaomi is focusing on emerging and price-sensitive markets. The rollout is expected to reach more regions soon, possibly including more countries in Asia and Europe.
