Xiaomi Updates EOL List: Two Popular Smartphones No Longer Supported

What is EOL? Xiaomi has officially updated its End of Life (EOL) list, indicating that certain devices will stop receiving firmware updates, including security patches and new features. Typically, devices on this list are older models, around two or three years old, that have reached the end of their support lifecycle.

New Additions to the EOL List On September 26, 2024, Xiaomi added two devices to its EOL list: Xiaomi Civi – Last update: February 2024 (HyperOS) – No further updates will be provided. POCO C31 – Last update: July 2023 (MIUI 12.5) – Will not receive future updates, including Android and MIUI versions.

While these smartphones will continue to function, they will not receive new software features. Without regular security patches, they may become less secure over time.
