Apple’s iOS 16.4 Update Adds 21 New Emoji, Voice call Isolation Support To iPhones : Steps to Install

Apple has rolled out the most-awaited iOS 16.4 update to all eligible iPhones i.e iPhone 8 and later.

The iOS 16.4 is one of the last few major upgrades before the iOS 17 arrives at the WWDC 2023 conference, probably in June.

The Voice Isolation feature for cellular calls is claimed to improve ambient noise reduction. The feature is currently available on FaceTime and other third-party VoIP call apps.

There are a total of 21 new emoji symbols with the new iOS release and these include hand gestures, a pink heart, jellyfish and a Wi-Fi symbol.

Apple has brought back the page turn animation to the Books app in the iOS 16.4 build. There’s also built-in support for Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controller.

For the convenience of iPhone users, we have mentioned the steps via which they can update the latest software:

Go to the Settings app * Choose General, and then select Software Update * If the update is not visible, users can check again in sometime as it should be available for everyone soon * Once the installation process starts, the device will download the update * Restart your device to complete the process.
