7 things you can do with Nothing Phone (2)’s Glyph Interface

Glyph timer Another remarkable feature added to the Nothing Phone (2) is the Glyph Timer, integrated into the Glyph Interface. This innovative addition enables users to conveniently monitor the timer using the LED strip located at the back of the phone. Once a timer is set, the strip activates and gradually fades from one end as the timer progresses.

Essential Glyph notifications The Nothing Phone (2) offers the flexibility to customise Glyph notifications according to your preferences. With this feature, you can now configure the top right light strip on the back of the phone to illuminate exclusively for notifications from specific apps.

Glyph sequences The new Nothing Phone (2) boasts Glyph Composer, an app that lets you create personalised ringtones using a captivating blend of lights and sounds.

Check volume level The Glyph Interface of the Nothing Phone (2) also includes a volume indicator feature that provides visual feedback on the volume level while adjusting it. That said, the feature only works when there is some sort of media playing on the device.

Use it as a torch In addition to serving as a flashlight, the Glyph Interface on the Nothing Phone (2) can also function as a torch. By performing a long press on the Torch tile within the notification centre of the device, the Glyph Interface will illuminate, providing a soft and diffused light that is gentler on the eyes compared to the intense brightness of a camera flash.

Charging indicator Similar to its predecessor Nothing Phone (1), the Nothing Phone (2) Glyph Interface includes a charging indicator. It lights up the bottom strip of the device, providing a visual representation of the battery level each time you place the phone on charging and giving it a gentle shake.

Google Assistant indicator The bottom strip at the back panel of the Nothing Phone (2) also lights up when you activate Google Assistant from the lock screen. This feature allows you to easily determine if the AI voice assistant is actively listening to your commands without needing to physically lift the device.
