Vivo has expanded its Y-series smartphone lineup in China with the launch of the Vivo Y6a. The new budget 5G smartphone focuses on delivering long battery life, a durable design and smooth everyday performance. It also comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset, a high refresh rate display, and the latest OriginOS software. According to reports, Y6a is a rebranded version of the existing Vivo Y500i. Vivo Y6a – Price and Availability
The Vivo Y6a is available in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant priced at 1,999 Yuan (approximately $295).
Buyers can choose from three colour options namely Obsidian Black, Galaxy Silver, and Phoenix Gold.

Vivo Y6a – Key Features
The Vivo Y6a sports a 6.75-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations while offering up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness for improved outdoor visibility.
Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device also supports an additional 8GB of virtual RAM for improved multitasking performance.
One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo Y6a is its massive 7,200mAh battery. The phone supports 44W fast charging and Vivo claims the battery is designed to maintain its health for up to six years with a rated lifespan of 1,800 charging cycles.
For photography, the handset features a 50-megapixel rear camera, while an 8-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
On the software front, the Vivo Y6a runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
The Vivo Y6a comes with a range of other features including stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock support, and dual SIM functionality. The smartphone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance making it more durable for everyday use.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, and support for aptX Adaptive audio codecs.
