Vivo X500 Pro, X500 Pro Max Launched in China: Price, Specifications, Camera, Battery and Features

• Vivo has officially launched the X500 Pro and Pro Max in China, priced from CNY 6,499 to CNY 12,999, with sales starting September 24 and 29 respectively.

After weeks of teasers and rumours, Vivo has finally unveiled its flagship smartphone lineup in China with the launch of the Vivo X500 series. The new range includes the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. While we will cover the standard X500 separately, here’s a more detailed look at the Pro and Pro Max models that bring several upgrades including the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, large batteries and advanced camera hardware.

Vivo X500 Pro, X500 Pro Max Price and Availability

The Vivo X500 Pro Max will be available to buy in China from September 24, while sales of the Vivo X500 Pro will begin on September 29. The phones will be sold through Vivo’s online store in China.

The Vivo X500 Pro starts at CNY 6,499 (around Rs. 93,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 7,499 (around Rs. 1,07,000), while the top 12GB + 1TB version is priced at CNY 8,499 (around Rs. 1,22,000).

The Vivo X500 Pro Max has a starting price of CNY 6,999 (around Rs. 1,00,000) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. The 12GB + 512GB model costs CNY 7,999 (around Rs. 1,14,000), while the 16GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 8,499 (around Rs. 1,22,000). The 12GB + 1TB variant costs CNY 8,999 (around Rs. 1,29,000).

Vivo is also offering a 16GB + 1TB configuration bundled with the Creator Kit at CNY 12999.

For colour, the Vivo X500 Pro series gets the Viewing the Sunset, Echoes of the Earth, Night Photography, and Sunny options.

Vivo X500 Pro, X500 Pro Max Specifications

The Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max are dual-SIM smartphones and ship with the same operating system as the standard Vivo X500.

The Vivo X500 Pro features a 6.36-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,216 x 2,660 pixels. The display offers the same features as the panel on the standard Vivo X500. The larger Vivo X500 Pro Max comes with a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display offering a 1,440 x 3,168-pixel resolution. Its screen supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and has a pixel density of 507ppi.

Both smartphones use the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro octa-core chipset. Built on a 2nm process, the processor reaches a peak clock speed of 4.55GHz. The phones also feature a Mali-G2-Ultra-NX GPU along with V3+ and VS1 Blueprint Image Chips. Memory configurations go up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Both models also include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the display.

The two Vivo X500 Pro models feature triple rear camera setups. Both start with a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.57 aperture and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The telephoto camera is where the two models differ. The Vivo X500 Pro uses a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.52 aperture. The Pro Max gets a much higher-resolution 200-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.67 aperture.

Both phones also feature 50-megapixel front-facing cameras for selfies and video calls. They support video recording at up to 4K resolution and 240fps.

The Vivo X500 Pro is equipped with a 6,510mAh battery, while the larger Pro Max packs an 8,000mAh battery. Both phones support the same charging capabilities i.e. for 90W (wired) and 40W (wireless) fast charging.

In terms of dimensions, the Vivo X500 Pro measures 151.78 x 71.92 x 7.95mm and weighs around 192 grams. The Vivo X500 Pro Max measures 163.32 x 76.82 x 7.95mm and weighs approximately 225 grams.
