The Vivo S60 Vitality Edition has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. It gives an early look at the performance of its newly introduced MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset and reveals how the upcoming processor performs in tests.

Separately, two more Vivo devices such as the Vivo Y500 and Vivo V70 Lite 4G have also surfaced on certification platforms hinting that their launch may not be far away. Here are more details.

According to the Geekbench results, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition achieved a single-core score of 1,243 points and a multi-core score of 3,569 points. These figures place the Dimensity 7500 ahead of the previous-generation Dimensity 7400, although the performance increase does not appear to be particularly dramatic.

The benchmark scores are broadly in line with what the early specifications of the chipset had suggested. MediaTek had previously claimed performance improvements of around 24 percent in single-core tasks and 21 percent in multi-core workloads compared to its predecessor.

While benchmark results do not always perfectly match manufacturer claims, the new scores indicate a noticeable improvement.

The Dimensity 7500 is manufactured using a 4nm process and features an octa-core CPU architecture paired with a Mali-G625 GPU. While the hardware configuration may not introduce any major surprises, it is expected to provide a balanced experience for daily usage as well as casual gaming.

Vivo has complemented the new chipset with a 144Hz AMOLED display on the S60 Vitality Edition. The smartphone also features a slim 7.92mm profile and starts at a price of 2,899 yuan in China.

Vivo Y500 and Vivo V70 Lite 4G Appear on Bluetooth SIG

In separate developments, two upcoming Vivo smartphones intended for global markets have now been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification database hinting at an imminent launch.

The first device is the Vivo Y500, which should not be confused with the Vivo Y500 5G launched in China last year. The upcoming model has appeared on the certification platform carrying multiple model numbers including V2627, V2634, and V2635.

Another Vivo smartphone carrying the model number V2604 has also been listed on the Bluetooth SIG database. The certification confirms its marketing name as the Vivo V70 Lite 4G.

Although the Bluetooth SIG listings confirm the existence of both smartphones, they do not reveal any specifications. The database also does not clarify whether the various Vivo Y500 variants will support 4G or 5G connectivity.

Unlike the Vivo Y500, the Vivo V70 Lite 4G has already appeared on the FCC certification platform. Earlier FCC documentation confirmed the V2604 model number and revealed several key details about the smartphone.

The FCC listing confirmed that the Vivo V70 Lite will be a 4G device. It also revealed that the handset will be equipped with a large 7,920mAh battery carrying the model number BB65. Additionally, the certification showed that one of the available configurations will include 8GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage.

Vivo has not yet announced a launch timeline for either device. However, an official announcement is expected to take place in the near future since both smartphones now appearing on multiple certification platforms.
