Vivo has expanded its S-series lineup in China with the launch of the Vivo S50t 5G. The new model is essentially a rebranded version of the Vivo S50 with the only notable difference being its internal storage type. The device retains the same design, hardware and features as the standard S50. Here’s everything you need to know about the phone.
The Vivo S50t 5G features a 6.59-inch AMOLED flat display with a 1.5K resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels. It supports both 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates alongwith multiple touch sampling rates including 130Hz for regular usage, 300Hz for gaming and up to 2000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The display also supports HDR and P3 wide colour gamut for enhanced visuals.

In terms of design, the Confession and Serene Blue colour variants measure 7.59mm in thickness, while the Space Black and Inspiration Purple variants are slightly slimmer at 7.49mm. The device weighs approximately 196g or 197g depending on the colour option.
The smartphone packs Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
While the standard S50 uses a different storage type, the S50t switches to UFS 3.1-based internal storage paired with the same LPDDR5X quad-channel RAM. This is one of the main differences between the two devices.
For photography, the Vivo S50t 5G is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture, OIS and autofocus, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with f/2.65 aperture, OIS, and autofocus. On the front, the device features a 50MP selfie camera while both the front and rear camera systems come with dedicated flash units.
The smartphone packs a 6500mAh battery with support for 90W fast wired charging and OTG reverse wired charging. However, similar to the Vivo S50, it does not include wireless charging support.

The Vivo S50t 5G is available in two variants. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,199, while the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant costs CNY 3,499.
The S50t is priced CNY 100 lower than the standard Vivo S50 and that makes it a slightly more affordable option.
