Vivo is expected to soon expand its S-series lineup in India with the launch of Vivo S2 FE. According to the latest leak, the Vivo S2 FE could arrive alongside the Vivo V80, which is already confirmed to launch in India next month. Vivo has not officially announced the S2 FE yet.

Vivo S2 FE India Launch Alongside Vivo V80 on October 6

According to information shared by an X account named Gadget Listings @gadgetlistings, the Vivo S2 FE could be introduced in India alongside the Vivo V80. Vivo has already confirmed that the V80 will launch in the country on October 6. The tipster has also shared what appears to be a teaser poster indicating the launch date of the S2 FE.

Recently, reports have revealed both the box price and colour options of the upcoming phone. As per the information, the Vivo S2 FE is said to be available in Stellar Green, Zen White and Titan Black. Meanwhile, the leaked box price for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is ₹39,999. This is the maximum retail price printed on the box and may not be the actual selling price.

Vivo S2 FE Expected Specifications

The Vivo S2 FE is tipped to come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of HBM brightness. The phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, which has already appeared in Geekbench listings. The chipset is expected to be paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. A 3,800 sq mm VC cooling system is also said to be included.

The Vivo S2 FE could pack a massive 10,000mAh battery with support for 44W charging. Despite the large battery, the phone is reportedly 8.75mm thick and weighs 225 grams. It could also carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing enhanced protection against water and dust.

For photography, the smartphone is tipped to feature a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, it could have a 32MP selfie camera.

Vivo is also reportedly planning to offer three years of OS updates and five years of security updates.

Could the Vivo S2 FE Be Based on the V80 Lite 5G?

The leaked specifications of the Vivo S2 FE are very similar to those of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, which was launched in Malaysia. That phone also comes with the Dimensity 7300e chipset, a 10,000mAh battery, a 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display and 44W charging.

This has led to speculation that the Vivo S2 FE could be a modified or reworked version of the V80 Lite 5G for the Indian market. However, the connection between the two phones has not been confirmed. At present, Vivo has not confirmed any of the specs or other launch details.
