It is a mid-to-large electric vehicle focused on performance, comfort and cutting-edge design. This is the company’s second EV after the SU7 sedan. Pronounced “YU,” the name is inspired by the Chinese phrase for “riding the wind.” The YU7 is built from the ground up as an SUV, unlike the SU7 sedan. Here’s what we know about the vehicle. Xiaomi YU7 - Built The YU7 sits on the Modena Platform, featuring a steel-aluminium hybrid frame with 2200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, developed using 24 million AI simulations and 4,000 tests, 47,610 N·m/deg torsional rigidity, 659 mm crumple zone and 1500 MPa crossbeam, Bulletproof battery coating 10x stronger than PVC and have passed 50+ crash tests, including rear-end impacts at 90 km/h The Enhanced door beam strength - Front +52.4% Rear +37.6% A-pillar +35% B-pillar +70.5% The Four-in-One Domain Control Module combines assisted driving, cockpit, vehicle control, and telematics into one system, reducing the controllers by 75%, space by 57% and the weight by 47% (down to 3.6 kg).
