HIGHLIGHTS * The iQOO Z7 5G is likely to launch on March 21st in India. * The device’s front has officially been showcased ahead of launch. * The official poster confirms the presence of a waterdrop notch at the top of the iQOO Z7 5G display. ¡QOO has already started teasing the arrival of its new Z-series smartphone, dubbed the iQOO Z7 5G. In all likelihood, the device will launch in India on March 21st, 2023. The launch date of the device was accidentally leaked, as a brand ad kept popping up on Google search for a brief period. In any case, the device is more than likely to launch later this month, and iQ0O has now revealed the front look of the iQ00 Z7 5G via its official social media handles. Let's take a look. As seen in the official poster above, this is what the iQOO Z7 5G will look like from the front. The device has a waterdrop notch at the top, which will house its selfie snapper. Furthermore, we can see the power button and the volume up and down buttons on the right side of the device’s chassis. The other sides of the device, however, have not been showcased by the brand yet, so we might have to wait for a little longer to know more about the device’s remaining design language. iQOO Z7 5G specifications (expected) The iQOO Z7 5G is said to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. So far, there’s no word whether the device will retain the IPS LCD panel of its predecessor or will it feature an AMOLED panel instead. Under the hood, the iQOO Z7 5G is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, which will likely be coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. In terms of software, we can expect the device to boot the latest Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13 skin out of the box. Coming to the battery of the device, the iQOO Z7 5G is tipped to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Lastly, the device might come with a 50MP main camera with support for OIS. Even the predecessor phone, the iQ00 Z6, had a waterdrop notch display. However, it appears that while the Z6 had an LCD panel, the Z7 could be equipped with an AMOLED screen. The Z6 was powered by the Snapdragon 695. A recent leak revealed that the Z7 may come equipped with the more powerful Dimensity 920 chipset. The other specifications of the Z7 are yet to be revealed. It appears that the device's primary camera will be equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). As per a recent report, the iQ00 Z7 5G may launch on March 21 in India . The lineup is also said to include the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G, but it appears that it will not launch alongside the Z7. In related news, iQOO is working on the iQ00 Z7 series for the Chinese market. The iQ00 Z7x may come equipped with the Snapdragon 695 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The iQOO Z7 may arrive with the Snapdragon 782G chip and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The Z7 and Z7x are expected to debut as early as this month in the Chinese market. There is also a text ‘Photography High Definition’ written alongside the LED flash. There is an iQOO branding at the bottom centre of the back panel. The handset comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. On the back of the Z6, there is a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro sensing. For taking selfies and making video calls, the handset has a 16MP on the front.
