After Chinese smartphone maker Vivo announced the launch date of its much anticipated Vivo X90 series in India, a new report hints that the company will likely unveil one more model - Vivo X90 Plus - under the series in China. It should be noted that the Vivo X90 series has been unveiled in China and is coming to India on April 26th. However, the Vivo X90 Plus hasn't been launched anywhere and is said to be currently in the works. According to tipster Paras Guglani, the Vivo X90 Plus is anticipated to be released in the global market, in addition to its launch in China. As per the report, V2141HA is the model number of the X90 Plus designed for the Chinese market. Earlier, tipster Digital Chat Station had spoken about the existence of a Vivo X90s, and as per Paras, the X90s has been renamed the X90 Plus. Currently, there is a lack of information regarding the model number of the global variant. Vivo X90 Plus Launch Timeline The company has already launched the Vivo X90 series in China and some other global markets, however, the Vivo X90 Plus hasn't been launched anywhere. It is said that the Vivo X90 Plus is expected to debut in the Chinese market in June or July. There is no clarity about its global or India launch as of now. Vivo X90 Plus Specifications (Expected) The upcoming Vivo X90 Plus might be positioned above the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro and it will feature an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series chipset and at least 12GB of RAM. The battery details are still unknown. However, it will support 80W charging, a report by PriceBaba said. On the other hand, the company launched the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro Plus in China last year. However, the company might only bring the Vivo X90, and Vivo X90 Pro to India as of now. The Vivo X90 and the Vivo X90 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC and the Vivo X90 Pro Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro specifications (expected) Booting Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13, both Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro that were launched in China and global markets offer support for dual-SIM cards (Nano). The base model sports a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,260x 2,800 pixels) AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, while the Pro variant features a curved AMOLED display with the same dimensions, resolution, and refresh rate. Both devices are powered by 4nm octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 9200 chipsets paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. They are also equipped with the company's custom V2 chip for image processing. The triple rear camera unit of the Vivo X90 includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary sensor, a 12-megapixel 50mm portrait lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Its 32-megapixel selfie camera is housed in a centrally aligned hole-punch slot at the top of the display. The camera specifications of the Vivo X90 Pro differ slightly from its base model. The triple rear camera unit of the Vivo X90 Pro comprises a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 1-inch primary sensor, a 50-megapixel 50mm IMX758 sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an IMX663 sensor. Also housed in a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout is a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Equipped with 256GB of UFS 4.0 inbuilt storage the Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro models include 5G (SA/ NSA), 4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS connectivity options, and one USB Type-C port each. The base model is backed by a 4,810mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The Pro variant packs a slightly bigger 4,870mAh battery unit and offers 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. Ans) For a phone in 2023, the X90 Pro’s design appears relatively ordinary from the front. The rectangular display has curved edges and features a a punch-hole cutout in the center housing the selfie camera. But flip it over, and you’ll see a narrow bar running through the width of the chassis (below the camera module). No, it’s not a camera bar as seen on Google’s Pixel 7 lineup, it’s simply a flat bar emblazoned with the words “Xtreme Imagination” running across the rear of the phone. Frankly, it makes for a bizarre choice that undermines the overall design of an otherwise sleek phone. Above this perplexing bar, is the circular camera bump housing three lenses.
