Xiaomi, last month, unveiled its flagship – the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone in the Chinese market. The company is gearing up for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra European debut. Ahead of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra European launch, Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone – the Xiaomi 14 series has been spotted on the IMEI database. Folks at GSMChina spotted two upcoming Xiaomi flagships – the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro on the IMEI database. The IMEI database listing doesn’t reveal the moniker of the handsets but it does reveal the model number of upcoming Xiaomi smartphones. The variants of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro that are spotted on the IMEI database are for Chinese as well as global regions. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will be the successors of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro and are expected to be unveiled by the end of 2023 in Xiaomi’s domestic market – China. The certification listing suggests that the Xiaomi 14 Pro had model numbers 23116PN5BC (C represents Chinese variant) and 23116PN5BG. Whereas, model numbers 23127PN0CC and 23127PN0CG (G represents global variant) correspond to vanilla Xiaomi 14. On the basis of initial digits – 2311 and 2312 of these model numbers, we can speculate the Xiaomi 14 series to make a debut sometime in November or December in the Chinese market. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Folks at GSMChina claim that the processor’s codename is pineapple. Qualcomm is yet to unveil Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC but going by a leak, it might make a debut by October 2023. A few days back, noted Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station had revealed that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm SM8650 processor. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is tipped to feature a 5000mAh battery unit. It might feature support for 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to come in two variants – flat screen and curved screen. The Xiaomi 14 Pro flat screen variant might feature support for 90W fast charging. Whereas, the premium curved screen version might come with 120W fast charging support. Xiaomi will reportedly use WLG High-Lens sensors for Xiaomi 14 series in the optics department. As of now, only this much has been leaked about the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones. We can expect Xiaomi to continue its collaboration with Leica and so the cameras on the Xiaomi 14 series might also be tuned by Leica. We can also expect the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphones to pop up on other certification and benchmark websites in the coming days, which should eventually reveal more in terms of the specifications of the upcoming flagships. From its listing on the IMEI database, nothing particular about the two devices has been revealed apart from its model numbers. As mentioned, from the performance side, the two upcoming devices are to offer its users great performance and as per what is expected, the devices are supposedly considered to arrive equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with codename “pineapple” and model number “SM8650”. As per reports, the Xiaomi 14 series devices are also expected to support 4K video recording on its front-facing camera and this is exciting news for vloggers and video makers who rely mostly on the front camera for their content. The phone leaks highlight some key specifications, such as that the phone may feature 4G connectivity and MIUI 14. In addition, the listings show that the phone could come with Android 13. This may not be the case, as Xiaomi has recently released the Android 12 update to its Redmi Note 12 Pro phone. Other details include support for 33W fast charging. The FCC website also lists the model number of the charging adapter as MDY-12-EA. According to the IMEI database, the smartphone will carry model number 23078PND5G. On the other hand, we can also see the Redmi K60 Pro carrying model number 23078RKD5C. The model number of the handsets suggests that both could be identified in a lot of aspects. This is not going to happen for the first time that Xiaomi is going to launch a single phone in different markets with different names.
