The International Electrotechnical Commission offers an IP rating, which is a standardized code that indicates how well an electronic device can resist dust, dirt, and liquids. Let’s see what that could entail for the Oppo F27 Pro+. What Is an IP Rating? World-first smartphone with triple IP certifications (IP66, IP68, IP69) Most smartphones commonly have an IP68 rating, which makes them safe from dust and submersion in water at a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. However, the durability factor with the Oppo F27 Pro+ combination of ratings has gone a notch higher, with the device being certified as IP66, IP68, and IP69. An IP66 rating indicates the highest level of dust protection and regular water jets, such as those from the rain or a shower. The F27 Pro+ will have a leather back with a siloxane coating, which is stain-resistant—a welcome add-on to a device that is looking to last.
