The upcoming Redmi tablet recently acquired Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. In a new development, we have spotted the Redmi Pad 2 with the model number 23073RPBFC on the Geekbench benchmark database. Redmi Pad 2 Geekbench listing reveals some of the key specifications. The Android tablet has been spotted on the FCC certification website previously, which has revealed some key details of the Pad 2. The listing on the FCC website reveals that the Redmi tablet will launch with three storage options. Let us take a quick look at the Redmi Pad 2 Geekbench scores and specifications. Redmi Pad 2 managed to score 415 points in the single-core round of the Geekbench 6 benchmark test. Whereas, in the multi-core round test, the upcoming Redmi tablet bagged a score of 1411 points. The benchmark database listing reveals that the Redmi Pad 2 will be equipped with an octa-core CPU. Out of eight cores, 4 cores will be clocked at 2.40GHz and the remaining 4 will be clocked at 2.40GHz. The listing further reveals that the SoC on the Redmi Pad 2 has a codename Bengal, this means that the Redmi Pad 2 will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. This is the same processor that we have seen on the Oppo Pad Air. Last year’s Redmi Pad was powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. So, the inclusion of Snapdragon 680 on the upcoming Redmi tablet seems like a downgrade. The Redmi Pad 2, as per the Geekbench listing, will come pre-loaded with Android 13. It will feature 4GB of memory. Previously FCC listing had revealed that the Redmi Pad 2 will come in three memory-storage configurations – 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128GB. It will boot MIUI 14 out of the box as revealed in the FCC listing. A few weeks ago, the key specifications of the Redmi Pad 2 were tipped. As per the leak, the Redmi Pad 2 will feature a 10.95-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. It is said to offer an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Redmi Pad 2: FCC Listing Confirms Key Details Redmi Pad 2 will launch later this year in China and other markets. The device will debut as a successor to the Redmi Pad, which was launched last year. The Pad 2 has the model number 23073RPBFL. According to the FCC listing, the Redmi Pad 2 will launch with up to 6GB of RAM. The Android tablet will launch in three storage configurations, with the base model featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Xiaomi has also listed the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Pad 2. Lastly, there will be a 6GB RAM option with 128GB of storage. The tablet is also confirmed to feature Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). As expected, the Redmi Pad 2 will boot MIUI 14 for Pad out of the box. The software skin is likely to be based on Android 13. The listing does not reveal any other details of the tablet other than the RAM and storage options, and the software skin details. The device is tipped to feature a 2K resolution display. Since it is a budget tablet, we can expect it to feature an IPS LCD panel. The device might offer a display ranging between 10-11 inches. Some reports suggest that the display will be 10.95 inches diagonally tall. It is also likely to offer 90Hz refresh rate support. On the back, the Pad 2 will likely feature a single camera sensor. It might come with an 8MP rear camera. For selfies and video calls, the Pad 2 is tipped to feature a 5MP front camera. There will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood. The tipster also suggests the Redmi Pad 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC and an 8,000mAh battery. Additionally, the tipster also leaked the camera details of the purported Redmi tablet which point to an 8-megapixel main rear sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor on the Redmi Pad 2. It could run Android 13 out-of-the-box, with the company's MIUI 14 skin running on top. Previously also, the Redmi Pad 2 specifications were leaked and the new report supports them. While it remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will release all memory variants, it tends to streamline its lineup outside China. For example, Xiaomi only sells the Redmi Pad with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage in the UK. Additionally, the FCC reveals that the Redmi Pad 2 supports Wi-Fi 5 and runs MIUI 14, likely the Android 13 variant. With the Redmi Pad 2 racking up an increasing number of certifications, it would seem that Xiaomi will unveil the tablet soon. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not officially teased a Redmi Pad successor yet.
