Highlights Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is a budget-friendly 5G chip using a 4nm process Supports Full HD+ resolution at 90Hz refresh rate Slower 5G modem with 1Gbps download speed Uses older Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 technology Qualcomm is about to reveal a new budget-friendly 5G chip called the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2. Thanks to a leak, we now know some details about this chip before the official announcement. The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is a cheaper version of last year's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. It's made using the same 4nm process and has eight cores like its predecessor. However, it runs a bit slower to save power and cost. The chip can use LPDDR4X RAM, which is cheaper but not as fast as the LPDDR5X used in the 4 Gen 2. Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is a budget-friendly 5G chip using a 4nm process This new chip can support phone screens with Full HD+ resolution at 90Hz refresh rate. It's designed for less expensive phones, so it might be used in phones with HD+ screens at 120Hz or Full HD+ at 90Hz. The camera support is also a bit lower, likely working best with 50MP or 64MP main cameras. The 5G modem in the 4s Gen 2 is slower than the one in the 4 Gen 2. It can download data at up to 1Gbps, which is still fast but not as quick as the 2.5Gbps of the 4 Gen 2. The chip uses older Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 technology for connecting to networks and devices. Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is a new budget-friendly 5G chip from Qualcomm This is the same as the 4 Gen 2, as these are features of less expensive chips. Despite these changes, the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 still has some nice features. It can play high-quality audio, reduce noise in photos, and stabilize videos. It also has good support for GPS and other location services. Qualcomm is set to officially announce this chip soon. They're calling it one of two "historic announcements" at their upcoming event. This new chip shows that Qualcomm is working to bring 5G technology to more affordable phones, which could help more people access faster mobile internet. FAQs What is the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2?
