PS5 Pro Resolution Archives ~ My Mobile India

PS5 Pro reportedly launching in April 2023: to feature liquid cooling and a new chip from AMD Sony is working on the PS5 Pro for quite some time. Now, there’s a new report from PhonAndroid reveals the PS5 Pro launch window and some details about its cooling tech. It has been just over 2 years since Sony had launched the standard PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. The company has so far made several internal changes to the console to make it more power efficient and deliver better thermal performance. PhonAndroid claims that it has received information about the PS5 Pro from a reliable source. PS5 Pro is expected to launch in April 2023 and it may feature a new chip from AMD. Besides these, the Pro model may also come with a liquid cooling system, which is generally found on high-end gaming PCs. Liquid cooling can enhance the thermal performance of the console even further. That being said, Sony will have to significantly change the design of PS5 to add liquid cooling. But there haven’t been any reports regarding the PS5 Pro design yet. Since the PS5 Pro will be a more advanced version of the current PS5, it will also cost higher than the standard PS5 console. According to reports, PS5 Pro is expected to offer up to 120 FPS gameplay at 2160p resolution as well as play games in 8K. The console is also said to be powered by a new RDNA graphics chip based on Zen 3 architecture. This chip is expected to be equivalent to AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT GPU in terms of performance. Besides these, PS5 Pro may feature advanced ray-tracing, reconstruction techniques, and rendering techniques. PS5 Pro Release Date The PS5 Pro will likely be released in April 2023. Before we talk about the release date, let's first see if there will be a PS5 Pro. In the last generation, Sony released the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Based on this, there is a high chance that we will see a PS5 Pro release very soon. Sony has not officially announced a release date for the PS5 Pro. However, we can predict when the new console will be released based on Sony's previous release patterns. PS5 Pro Leak 1 A leak shared by the Polish website PPE, Where they shared the images from a TCL event. The photos confirm that the PlayStation 5 Pro will launch in late 2023 or early 2024. However, TCL could also be predicting just like us. Nevertheless, we should see the PS5 Pro by the end of this year or early 2024. PS5 Pro Leak 2 As per Phonandroid, PS5 Pro, with a liquid cooling system and a new AMD chip, may hit the markets as early as April 2023. It could be announced at the State of Play event. As with the release date, there is little to no information on how the PlayStation 5 Pro will look and what features it will pack. However, we can expect the following: PS5 Pro Design The PS5 Pro will mostly have a similar design to the original PS5, with a sleek, futuristic look and a white and black colour scheme. And due to the upgraded performance, the size could also be larger. However, some rumours are against this and claim that the PS5 Pro may be slightly smaller than the original PS5. Regardless, we expect no significant changes in the design other than the nominal size and weight difference. PS5 Pro CPU Under the hood, the PS5 Pro is set to pack a more powerful CPU, allowing for faster and smoother performance and advanced features such as high FPS 4K and 8K gaming. Sony generally uses the latest custom-made AMD CPUs in the PlayStation. If Sony follows the trend, we should see one of the CPUs from the AMD Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 series. These CPUs are based on a 5nm fabrication process and support the latest DDR5 memory interface and PCIe 5.0 storage. These chips are sure to improve the CPU performance of the PS5 Pro dramatically. PS5 Pro GPU The PS5 Pro is also expected to feature a more powerful GPU than the original PS5. This will enable the console to run games at higher resolutions and with more detailed graphics. The exact GPU is unknown, but we can expect to see AMD’s RDNA 3 GPU in the PS5 Pro. PS5 Pro Storage Thanks to the new CPU, the PS5 Pro should feature faster and more efficient storage than the original PS5. This will allow for faster game loading times and more seamless gameplay. We can also expect an increase in the storage size, from 825GB or so to maybe 1TB. PS5 Pro Resolution & Framerate The PS5 does support 8K gaming, but it’s not very impressive due to the extreme supersampling. Also, 4K @ 60FPS did not work in most games. With the PS5 Pro, we expect Sony to fix all these problems and give us proper 8K support with at least 60FPS. And obviously, adequate support for 4K @ 60FPS across all games. PS5 Pro Price The PS5 Pro could price $549 /€549 / £549 Sony has not officially announced the price of the PS5 Pro. However, it is expected to be higher than the original PS5 due to its more advanced features and improved performance. The credit for the price increase also goes to inflation and the ongoing global chip shortage. While the PS4 and the PS4 Pro were launched at the same price, the PS5 Pro might see a $50 price bump. For instance, the PS5 was launched $499,the PS5 Pro is expected to be priced at $549. However the existence of the PS5 Pro by Sony is not confirmed as of yet. Furthermore, the company could change its mind at the last minute, so we should still wait & watch what’s instore for us. PS5 Pro Price in India (Expected) PS4 Pro was launched at around the price as the standard PS4 back in 2017. Sony is expected to follow the same strategy for its current-gen consoles. This suggests PS5 Pro could be priced around Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 in India. That being said, the pricing is speculative and it is recommended to wait for Sony to announce the official price. FAQ's on PS5 Pro Ques 1) Should you buy PS5 or wait for PS5 Pro? Ans 1) Buying a PS5 console is pretty difficult in India due to limited stocks. PlayStation fans have to wait for a PS5 restock every month to have a chance at buying one. However, many potential buyers are unable to get one due to limited stocks that get sold out in minutes. That being said, the launch of PS5 Pro will allow Sony to push out additional units of these consoles, which could address the availability issue. PS5 Pro's release date, specs, and price haven't been officially confirmed yet. You may have to wait for a really long time for the console refresh.
