The blast happened close to the boundary wall of a park near the shop, which is located near a PVR multiplex. CP Sanjay Kumar Tyagi said, "One person sustained minor injuries. Police teams and other specialised staff - special cell, forensics and other units are at the spot. The cause of the explosion is being ascertained. As of now, there is no suspect." The explosion caused white smoke to rise from the park near the shop with visuals from the scene showing police and emergency services responding swiftly. The fire department confirmed receiving a call about the explosion at 11:48 am. As per reports, four fire tenders were immediately sent to the site. "A call regarding a blast was received from the Prashant Vihar area at 11.48 am today. Fire tenders have reached the site," Delhi Fire Service said. A white powder-like substance was discovered at the scene, which prompted forensic and bomb squad teams to investigate further. This is not the first explosion reported in the area. On October 20, a blast damaged a portion of the CRPF school wall in Prashant Vihar shattering nearby shop windows and damaging cars.
