OPPO has launched a new A-series smartphone in the UAE market. It is dubbed the OPPO A18. The device is a budget offering with entry-level specifications. The smartphone has almost the same specifications as the OPPO A38 that launched in the markets earlier this month but is different in the camera department. The OPPO A18 features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device features a dual rear-facing camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5MP selfie camera. OPPO A18 Specifications & Features OPPO A18 SpecificationsThe smartphone is currently listed on OPPO’s UAE website in Glowing Black and Glowing Blue colours. The OPPO A18 run Android 13 out of the box with the company’s ColorOS 13.1 skin on top. OPPO A18 is powered by an octa-core Helio G85 SoC which is paired with a Mali G52 MC2 GPU. The device packs 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has a microSD card slot for the storage expansion beyond 128GB. The OPPO A18 has a waterdrop notch display measuring 6.56-inches. It features an HD+ resolution, 720 nits peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a 89.80% screen-to-body ratio. OPPO A18 Features There is a thick chin at the bottom of the screen. The back panel has a pill-shaped camera module and the power button doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. In terms of the camera the OPPO A18 has dual rear cameras. The setup comprises an 8MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth lens. The 8MP primary camera has a f/2.0 aperture, while the secondary lens has a f/2.4 aperture. There is a 5MP front-facing selfie snapper. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit. The OPPO A18 has connectivity options like USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. At present OPPO has not announced the pricing and availability details of the device.
