Meta maker Mark Zuckerberg has now stated that Meta Verified, the subscription service of the company, will soon be made available to WhatsApp Business users in India. The company's subscription service has also been made available to WhatsApp Business users based out of Brazil, Indonesia, and Colombia apart from India. “We’re also beginning to roll out Meta Verified on the WhatsApp Business app in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia. When you see a Meta Verified badge, this means a business has registered their information with Meta,” founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg said in his remarks at the event. “Back in April, we released a new version of Meta AI powered by our latest model Llama3. I'm excited to announce that we're going to launch Meta AI in Portuguese next month, along with a number of other new languages. And that means that more people around the world are going to be able to ask the assistant questions across any of our apps,” he said. Meta Verified is more like a subscription package that comes with Instagram and Facebook. The Meta Verified symbol lets WhatsApp users know that the business they are dealing with on the app is genuine. Therefore, the business is legitimate and the right representation is made. In simpler terms, the Meta Verified symbol protects company owners from imitation. As Meta explains, "When you see a Meta Verified badge, this means a business has registered their information with Meta. Businesses using Meta Verified receive enhanced account support (including impersonation protection) and can use WhatsApp across multiple devices for their employees." Making Yourself Trustworthy New AI tools assist businesses in providing detailed product information Also, the badge will be displayed on a Meta Verified business's WhatsApp Channel and custom WhatsApp page, adding to the business's credibility and trustworthiness. To complement the Meta Verified rollout, Meta has launched new AI tools to assist businesses on WhatsApp. The tools will offer more information to users about the product being sought and answer the questions for businesses. This feature will also be available with business ads on Facebook and Instagram. Finally, Meta is also bringing the capability to allow people to call bigger businesses directly on WhatsApp with one tap.
