The sides of the device are shown with a volume rocker, a power button, and a third button, which is believed to be a dedicated AI button, similar to those seen on the Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro. In comparison, the iPhone Air is said to be thinner at 5.6mm but heavier, weighing approximately 165 grams. As per recent leaks, the smartphone may feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, a 5,500mAh battery, and support for 80W fast wired charging. There has been some uncertainty surrounding the final name of the device. The President of the Product Line at Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., Fang Fei previously stated that Honor was working on a smartphone combining the strengths of both the Pro and Air series. Other reports suggest the sensor will deliver optical zoom ranging from 4.3x to 7x. The rear camera setup on the Magic 8 RSR is also expected to include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50R main camera with ultra-high dynamic range and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, the device is said to feature a 50-megapixel autofocus-enabled selfie camera.
