The Boult Z40 Pro TWS earphones enter the market with an introductory price of just Rs 1,199, promising a myriad of features often found in higher-end models. From aesthetic appeal to comprehensive functionalities and impressive battery life, the Z40 Pro aims to offer bang for your buck. Key Highlights Boult Z40 Pro TWS: Key Specs Premium design with a matte-finish case and unique opening mechanism. IPX5 water-resistant rating for added durability. Inconsistent touch controls but comes with AI assistant activation. Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility with low-latency Combat Gaming mode. Impressive 100-hour battery life backed by real-world testing. Pros and Cons Pros Cons Affordable Inconsistent Touch Controls Long Battery Life No Dedicated Pairing App Rapid USB-C Charging Build and Design Boult Z40 Pro TWS: Design The Boult Z40 Pro TWS earphones offer a distinctively premium appearance, especially when considering their sub-Rs 2,000 price tag. The matte-finish case elevates the aesthetic and provides a tactile feel that we find quite appealing. Unlike traditional TWS cases, this one features a unique opening mechanism that snugly houses the earbuds, making them easy to remove. However, the earbuds themselves cater to a budget-conscious audience with their design. Constructed from a slightly glossy plastic material, they are prone to scratches. That said, the build quality doesn't compromise on essentials. The case includes a USB Type-C port for convenient charging and is outfitted with a front-facing LED indicator to display the charging status. Overall, the Boult Z40 Pro TWS earphones deliver a well-constructed and thoughtfully designed offering in the budget segment. Features and Functionality Boult Z40 Pro TWS: Features In terms of functionality, the Boult Z40 Pro TWS checks all the basic boxes for a budget-friendly offering, including an IPX5 water-resistant rating. The earphones don't come with a dedicated pairing app, so you'll need to use standard Bluetooth pairing procedures on your iOS or Android device. Touch controls are available for managing volume and track selection, but their responsiveness can be inconsistent, making them less reliable for frequent use. A long press on the right earbud activates your phone's AI assistant, adding an extra layer of convenience. Technologically, these earbuds are fairly up-to-date, boasting Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility. Gamers may appreciate the low-latency Combat Gaming mode, which reduces response time to a mere 45ms. As for audio codecs, the earbuds support the commonly used SBC and AAC, ensuring decent audio quality across a range of devices. Sound Quality Boult Z40 Pro TWS: Quality The Boult Z40 Pro TWS earphones deliver a respectable performance, particularly when considering their budget-friendly price point. Equipped with 13mm drivers, they provide a balanced soundstage and competent imaging. Vocal clarity is a standout, especially in the midrange, which never turns harsh and shines in both music and podcasts. Treble is also balanced, adding an airy quality to the overall sound and making extended listening comfortable. However, the earphones do come with their set of drawbacks. The Quad Mic feature, promising Environmental Noise Cancellation, doesn't live up to the hype and struggles with ambient noise. Similarly, some quality control issues were noted, particularly with the left earbud causing pressure build-up in the ear canal. When it comes to bass, it's decent but lacks the depth and punch that would appeal to bass lovers. Instrument separation is good, and while details are reasonably clear, they lack the crispness one might desire. But get the ear tips sealed well, and you can expect adequate noise reduction. All in all, for the price, these earphones are among the better options available, particularly if your primary concern is vocal clarity and comfort during long listening sessions. Battery Life Boult Z40 Pro TWS: Battery Boult makes a bold claim of an impressive 100-hour battery life for the Z40 Pro TWS, a figure that is quite astonishing in its segment. In our tests, the device still had about 60% battery remaining after 8-10 hours of continuous use, lending credibility to Boult's claims. Each earbud carries a 2-3 hour charge, while the case acts as the primary power reservoir and supports rapid charging via USB-C. Final Verdict Boult Z40 Pro TWS At its introductory price, the Boult Z40 Pro TWS offers incredible value for money. While it does have its quirks, such as touch control inconsistencies and average noise cancellation capabilities, it shines in areas that matter the most like battery life and sound quality. It's a solid budget-friendly option for those who prioritize vocal clarity and battery longevity. FAQs What is the introductory price of the Boult Z40 Pro TWS earphones?
