Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman has confirmed rumours that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature larger display sizes. In the latest edition of his “Power On” newsletter, Gurman corroborated other reports about Apple‘s plan to increase the size of its two “Pro” iPhone models. The reports claim that Apple will increase from 6.1- and 6.7 inches by “a couple of tenths of an inch diagonally”. The new display sizes would be the largest ever for the iPhone. Apple is once again rumored to be increasing the size of the display on the 2024 iPhone 16 Pro, with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman corroborating reports today in his weekly Power On newsletter, saying the two new Pro-series models will be “a couple tenths of an inch diagonally” larger than the current-generation iPhone 14 Pro lineup. An alleged CAD model of the iPhone 16 Pro Max was made into render last week, giving us a glimpse at what the new, larger iPhone could look like compared to the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro, which is expected to be announced in the fall. Gurman says that it is likely that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will increase from the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes of the iPhone 14 Pro-series by “a couple tenths of an inch diagonally,” coming after a leaker claimed on Chinese social media that the new devices would measure in at 6.3-inches and 6.9-inches, respectively. Apple isn’t expected to unveil the iPhone 16 until fall next year, so there is a good chance plans and design tweaks could change before then. We’re yet to know much else about the iPhone 16 series given that Apple’s next generation iPhone, the iPhone 15, is yet to be announced. iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max rumoured Screen Size The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to have display sizes of 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively. This is about an increase of around 0.2 inches from the previous models. This increase in size could create more internal space for better hardware, such as camera tech and larger batteries. This could also make Apple’s high-end mobile phones more competitive with the equivalent devices offered by Samsung. Gurman’s Endorsement Gurman’s endorsement of the rumours adds weight to the speculation that the new iPhones will have larger displays. Gurman is a well-known Apple analyst who has a track record of accurately predicting Apple’s product releases and updates. His endorsement of the rumours will likely increase the anticipation and excitement surrounding the release of the new iPhones. Final Words The rumours of the iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max having larger display sizes have been circulating for some time. Gurman’s endorsement of these rumours adds only adds credibility to them. If the rumours are true, the new iPhones will have the largest display sizes ever seen on an iPhone. This could also make them more competitive with other high-end smartphones on the market. The anticipation for the release of the new iPhones is high, and fans of Apple products will be eagerly awaiting any further news or updates about the new devices. Faqs 1) Gurman Corroborates iPhone 16 Pro Display Size Increase Rumor.Details? Ans) Bloomberg's Mark Gurman today threw his weight behind rumors that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature larger display sizes. In the latest edition of his "Power On" newsletter, Gurman corroborated other reports about Apple's plan to increase the size of its two "Pro" iPhone models from 6.1- and 6.7-inches by "a couple tenths of an inch diagonally." The new display sizes would be the largest ever for the iPhone. Gurman noted that the change will make Apple's high-end smartphones more competitive with the equivalent devices offered by Samsung. The increase could also create more internal space for improved hardware, such as camera technology and larger batteries. In May, display analyst Ross Young said that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature displays 6.3- and 6.9-inches in size, respectively, representing an increase of around 0.2-inches. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Twitter leaker "Unknownz21" then corroborated this rumor, with the latter providing alleged internal model numbers for the devices. The two standard iPhone 16 models are not expected to see a display size increase, with the change being exclusive to the high-end models. 2) iPhone 16 Pro Is Already in News, for Its Rumored Larger Display!Details? Ans) The iPhone 15 series is yet to make an official entry and we have already started hearing about the next-gen iPhone 16. Rumor has it that the iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to see a major change in the display, which can be pretty exciting for users. Have a look at the details. iPhone 16 Pro to Get a Larger Display Display analyst Ross Young has some information regarding the display of the alleged iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is believed that the phones will boast a larger display as compared to the current iPhone 14 Pro models (and even the upcoming iPhone 15 Pros). The iPhone 16 Pro could go for a 6.3-inch screen size while the iPhone 16 Pro Max might have a 6.9-inch display, which will be a first for an iPhone. The current display size for an iPhone goes up to 6.7 inches, so, this can be pretty interesting. That said, these aren’t the actual sizes and those should be revealed by Ross at the Display Week conference on May 23. Young also hints at an increased aspect ratio (no number specified) for the 2024 iPhones, which could mean that next year’s iPhones could be much taller. If this happens, it would make watching content especially the trending vertical content much easier to consume while calling for a more comfortable usage. The current iPhone 14 Pro Max and even the Plus models are rather huge and make things difficult at times. The iPhone 15 Pro models are highly expected to stick to the 6.1-inch (14 Pro) and the 6.7-inch (14 Pro Max) sizes. One thing to note here is that this is just a rumor as of now and we have nothing concrete backing it up. While Young can more often than not trusted, we will still need official details, which won’t be revealed until next year. Since the iPhone 16 rumors have now started coming in, we will ensure to bring them for you.
