The OnePlus Pad 2 and OPPO Pad 3 may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and the OnePlus Watch 3 could feature Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC. The OnePlus 12 was a good success story and is one that the company will want to replicate in its upcoming successor the OnePlus 13. But there might be some compromise in the offing. I can confirm this — Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) June 2, 2024 Also, while the OnePlus 13 flagship is said to be coming soon, there are reports that other much-hyped products—including the OnePlus Pad 2 and Watch 3—could be delayed in their launch timelines. OnePlus 13: No Wireless Charging Sacrifice for Battery Boost? OnePlus 13 won’t feature wireless charging, but it compensates with a larger 6,000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging The latest leaks indicate that the OnePlus 13 flagship will reportedly have no wireless charging, which came as a feature in its predecessor, the OnePlus 12, which had 50W wireless and 100W wired fast charging support. However, the company is believed to balance this out with a larger 6,000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging. The flagship is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Why exactly the OnePlus 13 misses out on wireless charging is still an absolute mystery, but it could be a strategic move to accommodate the increased battery capacity. OnePlus Gears Up for Next Flagship OnePlus 13 Amid Delays Reports also have it that the chipset powering the flagship will be the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. OnePlus Pad 2, Watch 3 Face Uncertain Launch Timelines OnePlus Pad 2 and Watch 3 launches face uncertainty, while OnePlus Buds 3 get a new colour variant As OnePlus gears up to introduce the OnePlus 10 Pro, much-awaited launches—OnePlus Pad 2 and Watch 3—seem to be delayed. The tipster also mentioned that OnePlus Buds 3 will be launching in a new colour variant; OPPO Pad 3 and OPPO Enco X3 TWS earbuds have been delayed indefinitely. The next OnePlus Pad will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC However, there is not much clarity from the sources about the decision. While it is sketchy about the dates when these gadgets will be launched, a little information has trickled in. The OnePlus Pad 2 or the OPPO Pad 3 for the Chinese market could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the OnePlus Watch 3 could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC or even a W5 Gen 2 variant, which is not yet released. Continual Iterations and Deployment Techniques The next OnePlus Watch is allegedly powered by the Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC As OnePlus continues to dial in its product portfolio, holding back on some devices may be for optimization performance or coordinating with release strategies and timelines. While OnePlus 13 looks set for a launch soon, the brand's promise of providing great user experience might require it to take a little more time when developing Pad 2 and Watch 3.
