We are now trying to help (Apple) expand further to grow for the next two to three years. There will be substantial growth,” a senior government official told Moneycontrol. AirPods Pro, 2nd Gen Apple is also looking to start production of AirPods in India, with plans to begin in early 2025. The company has already initiated trial production of components for AirPods wireless charging cases in Pune with Jabil, a manufacturing services company. Apple is also considering a similar arrangement with Taiwan's Foxconn. If quality testing and final approval are successful, Jabil will increase commercial production of wireless charging case parts for AirPods. This could potentially meet export requirements and address domestic demand in India.
