This is not Framis' first experience incorporating non-human elements into her art. In 1996, she became the first artist to coexist with a mannequin named Pierre. The resulting work, 'Cinema Solo', was composed of 36 photographs and a dialogue between Framis and the mannequin, inspired by Marguerite Duras' book 'La Maladie de la Mort'. When his aunt calls him for a work assignment to New York, little does he know that he is going to be a lab rat for testing her aunt’s most advanced robot Sifra (Kriti Sanon). He falls for Sifra’s beauty and perfection in the kitchen and household chores, perhaps, because she is programmed according to his needs and says a cute theek hai to everything that he wants. But the problem begins when the engineer can’t resist her charm even after realising that she is just a piece of software and takes the experiment home. However, he feels drawn towards her and convinces his maasi to send her to India so that she can go through the ultimate test - surviving a big, crazy Indian family (that's obsessed with Aryan's marriage).
