Long-Awaited Updates New processors and features coming soon on the new lineup of iPads The iPad mini hasn't been updated since 2021, making this refresh particularly noteworthy. The new low-cost iPad would also represent a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The current regular iPad is the cheapest in the lineup and has decent specs powering it. While no release dates were mentioned in the leak, it's likely that the iPad Pro models will arrive later, as Apple recently launched M4-powered versions. New Processors, Better Performance The potential use of the M5 chip in the iPad Pro models is particularly interesting, as it would represent a significant leap in processing power. This could enable even more advanced features and capabilities, potentially blurring the line between tablets and traditional computers even further. M4 iPad Pro is already here. The next one will be based on M5 For the iPad mini, the rumored inclusion of the A17 Pro chip would bring it much closer to the performance levels of Apple's high-end iPhones. This could make the compact tablet an even more attractive option for users who need power in a portable package. The leak also revealed that Apple had considered releasing iPad Pro models with the M3 chip but ultimately decided against it. This decision suggests Apple is committed to bringing its most advanced technology to the iPad lineup. As with all leaks, this information should be treated as unofficial until Apple makes a formal announcement. However, it provides an exciting glimpse into Apple's potential plans for its tablet range in the coming months. FAQs What chipsets are expected in the new iPad models?
