The new Tecno Camon iTwin runs on HiOS v3.2.0 on Android 8.0 Oreo providing various smart features. The Camon iTwin has RAM size of 3GB which is sufficient to let you indulge in multi-tasking without any lag in the applications. The RAM size also provides you comfortable and satisfying game experience as well where it can run moderate games comfortably. The ROM size is of 32GB which is decent amount of storage space and can be further expanded with the help of microSD card. TECNO Camon iTwin has chosen quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425SoC processor to deal with the processes and the tasks assigned and has CPU with four cores clocked at 1.4GHZ. The processor and the RAM exhibits nice working capabilities and at the same time keeping the device in its neutral state when used judiciously. The smartphone manages the daily apps quite efficiently but, it tends to stutter while handling PUBG and heavy graphics games and generates heat in the process.
The new Camon iTwin has dual rear camera sensor which includes 13MP primary sensor with a wide angle and aperture of f/2.0, 80 degree FOV lens. The secondary sensor is a depth sensing sensor of 2 Megapixel. The rear camera allows you to choose the ratio size of the image like ratio size of 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 18:9. The images captured are well detailed and are in crystal clear quality while used in daylight. The night shots are noisy despite the fact that the camera uses LED flash to brighten up the surroundings. The phone also has AI Auto Scene Recognition feature as well. The selfie camera is of 13 Megapixel with an aperture of f/2.0 and has various modes to choose like Panorama mode, Beauty mode. You can select the aspect ratio before clicking image with the selfie camera as well. The selfies captured during daylight are well detailed and the images captured at night are not upto the expectations. There is advantage of front LED flash which helps to fulfil unfavourable lighting conditions but, ends up giving hazy images which are either over exposed or dull.
The TECNO Camon iTwin has powerful battery of 4,000mAh which is adding to the advantage of the device. The battery can last throughout the day with a single charge if the device is used moderately. The phone heats up a bit while charging. The charging speed of the phone is moderate as well and charges the device at good charging rate. For a moderate user it can go upto two days in a single charge.
The new TECNO Camon iTwin has some good features such as full view display, face unlock, huge battery, and latest OS but lags on the processor front as the smartphone houses an entry level chipset which was highly undesirable at this price point. Given the point that the brand majorly operates in the offline market gives it an extra bit of cushion against the competition that is there on the online front by Xiaomi, Honor and Asus. It is available at Rs 11,499 in the offline markets but will have to compete with Redmi Y2, Honor 9N and Asus Max Pro M1.
