HTC, the Taiwanese consumer electronics company,is continuously evolving itself in design and innovation and have remained one of the top companies around the world which invest millions into R&D. Their latest product, HTC U11, is an example to that.

One can say that HTC U11 is the new redefined and updated version of the previous launch of the company which was HTC U Ultra. The U Ultra did not taste that much success in the market because of some major misses in both, software and hardware.  The HTC U11 is the attempt to overcome all the shortcomings which Ultra was not able to meet. U11 is believed to establish well in the market because of all the shortcomings and demands were kept in mind in the process of making or creating a masterpiece like U11.

The HTC U11 is carrying the same liquid surface design language of that of U Ultra’s but it has made some adjustments in its functional design. HTC U11 is about 5.5 inch in display while the U Ultra was of 5.9 inch making it little uncomfortable for using the phone but this issue is also being resolved in the HTC U11 giving you a comfortable size for handling the phone with more comfort. The physical dimensions are also similar to U Ultra but HTC U11 is lighter and slimmer than U Ultra. HTC U11 is available in Silver and Black colours. We’ve got the Black for you. HTC U11 is the world’s first smartphone with a new ‘squeeze’ technology, HTC Edge Sense, which gives the ability to activate advanced touch for enhanced functionality.

The glass of HTC U11 is carved out and it is highly polished, it also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 reflecting lights differently when the device is viewed from different angles and the outer frame of HTC U11 is carved out of solid metal, so are the power button and the volume rocker of the device. The phone is priced at Rs 51,990 which is lesser when compared to U Ultra which had the price of Rs 59,990.

The buttons are placed on the right side of the device and there is no button on the left side. On the top of the device there is dual SIM card/microSD hybrid slot. The bottom of the device has USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing, the speaker rests underneath the speaker encapsulated by a white border. On the front there is a fingerprint scanner.


HTC U11 comes with a 5.5 inch screen with a Quad-HD display and has a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. The panel is same as that of HTC U Ultra, a Super LCD 5. The LCD 5 panel is 30 percent colourful and 50 percent more responsive to touch as compared to its earlier versions. The viewing angles of the phone is also quite well and as well as the outdoor legibility. The phone also has an option to manually correct colour temperature and a night mode that turns them to the warmer end of the spectrum when enabled.


The new HTC U11 is powered by 2.45 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which is assisted by a 6 GB RAM giving the new HTC U11 power to take all the processes of the device with ease. The 6 GB RAM enables you to do any task or play any game be it of high graphics without the worry of phone letting you down in mid of any task. The internal ROM of the device is of 128 GB which can further be expanded with the help of microSD card. The new HTC U11 has the latest Android operating system which is Android 7.1.1 Nougat and when combined with the processor and the RAM of the device, the phone becomes an attracting smartphone which delivers power and stability.


The new HTC U11 has a 12 megapixel rear camera with Ultra Pixel 3 technology and Ultra Speed autofocus letting you take beautiful pictures with less worry of the image getting blurred. It has a very bright lens at f/1.7 aperture and also has a sensor which is 1/2.55 inch that automatically boosts low light performance of the phone. The Ultra Pixels sensor provides light into the lens which enables the phone to give brighter photos. The rear camera also has phase detection autofocus, OIS and Dual LED flash. HTC U11 rear camera gives excellent detail to the photos clicked in good lights, good dynamic range. The HDR also works nicely and the focussing of camera is also very quick. The phone also uses HDR boost to bring out the best results in photo. The phone also has Acoustic focus that allows zooming in on the video to target the subject and amplify their specific sounds. The front camera of the phone is of 16 megapixel with screen flash allowing the users to take selfies even in dim light conditions. It also has beauty enhancement and several filters for taking selfies. Both the lenses perform brilliantly and it hardly misses out anything.


The battery power of the phone is backed by 3,000 mAh cell. The battery life is enhanced with the processor and the RAM of the phone. The device also has a fast charger, charging the device in a short period of time. The battery life is enough to make your device last long, delivering long hours of entertainment.

The HTC U11 has attracting features to keep users excited about it, one such feature is that it has four always on low power microphones inside, so it can respond to every command and because of these microphones, is always on and always listening. The U11 also supports Boom Sound Hi-Fi sound technology.
