OnePlus 6T

Living true to its brand name OnePlus with its every new launch adds something new to its products. OnePlus over the time has evolved to be a better brand with its step taken and has provided some exciting products giving tough competition to other players. The plus point of OnePlus is that it provides all the updated and recent features within a reasonable price range which you may find in some of the costliest smartphones. Breezing in the Indian smartphone market OnePlus has launched its latest power performing beast known by the name OnePlus 6T which is for sure to raise some serious concerns for other smartphone companies. Does this new OnePlus 6T has the X factor to make it a successful and a true competitor? Let’s find out.

Oneplus 6t design

OnePlus 6T in terms of its looks resembles its predecessor OnePlus 6 sporting a solid look. The new OnePlus 6T looks very classy when held in phone and its skim and sleek body design makes it very easy to hold and operate easily. The front fascia of the phone is dominated by the huge 6.41 inch screen with a tiny notch sporting the selfie camera. The body is built with glass and has an aluminum frame which is giving the rear side of the phone a glossy look but this glass body has its own cons because it attracts lots of smudges. The new OnePlus 6T has placed the dual rear camera sensors in the middle of the body within one frame and just below the frame lies the rear LED flash. OnePlus 6T has moved and adapted the current trend of placing the fingerprint sensor on the screen which is just as smooth as physical fingerprint sensor and equivalently fast. To the left lies the volume rockers and the dual SIM tray and moving to the right side of the phone lies the power button and Alert slider button which gives you option to put the phone on silent, vibration and general mode. The top of the phone is blank whereas at the bottom of the phone lies the two speaker grilles and separating the two speaker grilles is the Type-C USB port. The box carries a 3.5mm headphone jack adaptor because there is no presence of 3.5mm jack on the body of the phone.

The new OnePlus 6T has the same screen type which was there in OnePlus6 which is Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors but if the new model will have all the things similar to previous one then what’s the deal about launching a new model. So, the new OnePlus 6T has display size comparatively bigger which is 6.41 inch and also the difference lies in the aspect ratio of the phone where the new 6T has opted for 19:5:9 giving the display a complete full view display and wide viewing angles. The screen resolution of 6T is of 1080×2340 pixels and 402ppi density. The display of 6T gives full view display and you get full HD experience of watching any video on such big display. The display is well visible under every condition which is also one of the plus points. The new OnePlus 6T has upgraded the screen protection as well with the new Gorilla Glass 6.

OnePlus 6T processor

OnePlus 6T comes with the latest oxygen OS which is Android 9.0 Pie which you usually find in the latest high price ranged smartphones and you can also put it like this that the new 6T is a perfect combo of desirable features. The latest OS offers exciting features which you can explore by going to settings to initiate them. In the processor section the new OnePlus 6T is running on the same processor which was there in OnePlus 6 which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoCocta-core processor with eight cores where four cores are clocked at 2.5GHz Kryo 385 Gold and other four cores are clocked at 1.6GHz Kryo 385 Silver and it’s the most powerful processor till now and especially in the price range which the new 6T carries. There was no lag in the processing of the device when we tested it; all apps ran smoothly without any lag. The device does not know how to get worked up and get heated easily by any process be it playing games like PUBG, TEKKEN, NFS etc. It runs flawlessly without decreasing the graphic level. Gaming experience is on top and you can enjoy any game without any issues. One of the main reasons for such powerful performance of the device is the RAM size which is of 8GB. The internal storage of the phone is of 128GB which is more than sufficient to store anything on a phone. The internal storage is non expandable in nature as there is no microSD card slot.

OnePlus 6T camera

OnePlus 6T in its testing period showcased brilliance in its every field and the cameras of the phone are also no less than any of its other powerful features. The new OnePlus 6T sports a dual rear camera sensor of 16MP and 20MP respectively. The aperture of both the sensors is of f/1.7. The rear camera is quick to focus and adapt to the external surroundings very quickly delivering images of great quality. The daylight shots are impressive and the zoom in capability of the phone is on point without adding too much graining effect to it. The night shots are brilliant as well where the dual tone LED flash lights up the area surrounding sensor to deliver a desirable night shot. The selfie camera is of 16MP with an aperture of f/2.0, with auto-HDR, gyro EIS. The selfie camera holds the power to surprise you with its accuracy. The selfies captured are brilliant with the great details but the selfie camera does not excite me too much like the rear camera. OnePlus could have improved the selfie camera a bit. There are of course various modes available like portrait, panorama, night mode etc.

OnePlus 6T charger

The new OnePlus is packed with impressive battery of 3,700mAh which powers all the processes throughout the day. During the test period the battery easily lasted more than a day with a single charge even after playing games and watching two to three movies. The charging speed of the phone is impressive as well with the fast charger available with the phone. The phone stands very normal even when charging without any heating which clearly shows the power of the processor and the RAM size of the phone.

OnePlus 6T has few tweaks and improvements when compared to its predecessor, OnePlus 6, such as bigger battery and much improved Oxygen OS. The latest prodigy has stunning user experience, fluidic performance, light weight, sleek, attractive glass design and Dash charger. The camera optics remains the same but; the biggest improvement is the addition of in-display fingerprint scanner which is fast and accurate with very rare failure chances. The price of OnePlus 6T begins at Rs 37,999 and is surely remains the king in its segment.
