Post the success of Honor 10, the e-brand of Huawei, Honor, launched two new smartphones, Honor 7A and Honor 7C in the budget segment category clearly challenging Xiaomi and ASUS. These two smartphones have the basic characteristics to attract buyers in this segment. We’ve got Honor 7A for review and will check the functions of it as how does it perform under various circumstances. Let’s check this out as how Honor 7A going to cement the position of Honor in the already cluttered budget segment in India.

The looks given to the Honor smartphones are always in accordance to the demand of the users. The new Honor 7A has an aluminium frame running towards the edge of the phone providing beautiful and shiny look to the device. The body has curvy edges making the phone easy to hold and operate. The phone is light as well and it does not feel heavy even after hours of operating the device. The front side of the phone has the 5.7 inch screen and above the screen lies the selfie camera plus the front LED flash.  At the left side of the phone lies the SIM tray which can hold dual SIMs at the same time plus a microSD card. The right side of the phone is sporting the volume rockers and power button. The multi-tasking while testing was normal as few apps were getting closed in between. The RAM size on the phone is of 3GB and it provides full support to the processor while handling any task. The gaming experience is also good as the phone allows you to any game as well but if you play games like Asphalt, COD, Golf clash etc then the phone to tends to get warm or seems exhausted. Excluding such heavy games the average games and other apps works brilliantly with no issues. The internal storage is of decent size which is mostly found in budget ranged smartphones which is of 32GB. The storage can be further expanded with the help of dedicated microSD card slot. The operating system of the Honor 7A is Android 8.0 with EMUI 8.0 providing latest updates to the phone.

The new Honor 7A is sporting 8 megapixel front camera which has various modes with it like face detection, beautification etc. The selfie camera of this budget range smartphone can surely buy the attention of the users who likes to have clear images without spending much. The front LED flash is giving the phone an upper hand because it is not usually found in many smartphones. The front LED flash allows you to take clear images even when it is dark but if you zoom in a bit there arises some graining effects but otherwise the selfie is extremely good and stands up to the expectations of the users. It boasts on QS 430 octa-core chipset, which is a good addition as Honor generally uses its own Kirin chipsets, sleek body and dual rear lens priced at Rs 8,999. Honor 7A also has Face Unlock apart from fingerprint sensor and 2+1 SIM and card slot for expansion. It will have to compete with Redmi 5 in its category. Overall, Honor 7A gives the satisfaction of an all-rounder smartphone.
