The Comio X1 Note is the first smartphone from the home grown brand to feature dual rear lens. Previously, Comio’s P1 and C2 did well for the company despite the presence of other Indian, Chinese and Korean players. The new Comio X1 Note has shining mirror metal-type body but, its actually plastic that makes it light weight, with tall screen and curvy edges around the corner which all together makes the device looks beautiful and at the same time making it easy to hold. The previous phones which we reviewed were somewhat heavy but this latest model has improved body weight as well. The front fascia of the phone is dominated by 6 inch display and above the display lies the 8MP selfie camera with flash. The back side of the phone is sporting the dual rear camera sensor which looks very familiar to that of Moto-type design of rear cameras. The rear cameras are assisted by LED flash and below the camera sensor lies the fingerprint sensor. The new X1 Note has Face Unlock security mode as well which works very well. The left side of the phone is sporting the volume rockers while at the right side of the lies power button and SIM tray which can hold two nano-SIM cards and one microSD card at the same time. At the top of the phone lies 3.5mm headphone jack and the bottom of the device is sporting micro USB port and two speaker grilles.

Comio X1 Note has an impressive 6 inch FHD+ Full View Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display has the option of manually enabling the colour temperature which adjusts itself in accordance with the temperature. The screen offers wide viewing angles and with such big screen you can easily enjoy any game or can have satisfactory viewing experience.  The display has screen resolution of 1080×2160 pixels which is quite ambient. The screen is protected by 2.5D curved glass which can withstand any minor damage.

Comio X1 Note has 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor with four cores. The processor functions quite well, keeping the functioning of the device in check. While testing it was found that the processor has average speed while multitasking not that fast. There were no other issues observed while switching between apps. The processor is supported by 3GB RAM of the device which is providing the power to deal with any task. The game support of the game is quite moderate as well and in case you turn to play big games then the phone do get warmed up otherwise normal games runs causing no changes in the functioning of the device. Comio X1 Note has decent amount of internal storage of 32GB which is mostly found in budget range smartphones. The internal storage can be expanded further with the help of dedicated microSD card slot. Comio X1 Note has Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

The new Comio X1 Note is sporting 8 megapixel selfie camera with flash and has an aperture of f/2.4. The selfie camera of the phone delivers clear images every time you turn up the camera to click a selfie. The advantage of the selfie camera is that it has front LED flash which allows you to take selfies clearly even in dark. There might be some occasions where some graining effect can be seen when the front LED flash comes into play but mostly it is not observed. The front camera also has the Social mode which allows you to use rear camera and front camera at the same time dividing the display into half where one half display uses the front camera while the other uses the rear camera. Comio X1 Note has AF dual rear camera sensor of 13+5MP with flash. The rear camera delivers clear and crispy images taking into detail every aspect of what you are trying to capture. The shots captured during daytime are in good quality. The rear mode has Light trace mode which offers great advantage while clicking pictures at night. There are various other modes as well like Panorama, Portrait, Time lapse and Social mode.

The new Comio X1 Note has 2,900 mAh battery power which is neither too much battery power nor too less for an average user. The battery lasts throughout the day if you limit your usage like playing games, listening music and watching video. The phone charging speed is moderate as well and the speed rate is high when the phone is connected with its original charger while with other chargers from other companies the speed seems to get compromised. There is slight increase in heat while charging the device which is quite normal and it is shortly resolved after the phone attaining certain charging level.

With X1 Note, Comio tries to further cement its position in the budget segment and under-10K price bracket. Comio X1 Note rises up to the occasion with big and bright screen, dual rear lens, first time from Comio, light weight composition and out of the box OS at Rs 9,999. The battery could have been more for a budget smartphone. The Face Unlock does well in proper lighting and has some other usability apart from unlocking the phone. It will have to battle it out with Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Y2 in the market.
