Realme is preparing to launch the Realme 16T 5G in India on May 22, 2026. The smartphone will debut alongside the Realme Watch S5 and Realme Buds Air 8 Pro in a Flipkart launch. Ahead of the official launch, a new leak has now revealed the retail box image of the upcoming smartphone that shows its MRP and several key specifications. Here’s more on that.

Realme 16T – Retail Box and Other Leaked Images

Indian tipster Abhishek Yadav on X recently leaked an image of what looks like the retail box of the upcoming Realme 16T 5G. The image shows that the phone could carry an MRP of ₹55,999 and also confirms the smartphone’s model number as “RMX5268”.

However, the leaked amount appears to be the maximum retail price and the actual launch price is expected to be lower as brands generally introduce smartphones at prices below the listed MRP.

That’s not all. Another leaked image reportedly taken from the device’s settings page reveals additional hardware details. According to the image, Realme 16T 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and will pack a large 8000mAh battery with typical capacity. The image further indicates that the device will run Realme UI 7 based on software version “RMX5268_16.0.5.715”.

The setting page image also points to an 8GB RAM variant paired with an additional 10GB virtual RAM expansion and 128GB internal storage. In terms of display, the smartphone is tipped to feature a 17.3 cm, or 6.81-inch, screen.

For photography, the Realme 16T 5G is expected to come with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, the smartphone is said to feature a 16MP selfie camera. The tipster, however, claimed through an X post that the upcoming smartphone will not support 4K video recording. It is also said to lack support for 1080p video recording at 60fps.

Realme 16T – Other Details

The leaked specifications have sparked interest around the smartphone’s final pricing strategy in India. This is especially because its predecessor Realme 15T 5G was launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 MAX chipset at a starting price of ₹27,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
