According to reports, the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power are expected to arrive in the country by early September. The company has not officially confirmed the launch dates or specifications of either model yet but it has started teasing the models on social media. Meanwhile, a well-known tipster has also revealed key details about the two upcoming smartphones and Poco’s other launch plans. Here’s what we know so far.
Poco X8, Poco X8 Power India Launch Timeline
Tipster Yogesh Brar @heyitsyogesh claimed in a post on X that Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power are both expected to launch in India by early September and will sit below the Poco X8 Pro in the brand’s lineup. The brand has already started posting teasers on official media handles, which means a name reveal and announcement could happen anytime.

The tipster also suggested that Poco’s F series will begin the company’s smartphone launches for 2027. This indicates that the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power could potentially be the brand’s final smartphone launches in India this year.

Poco X8 Power – Expected Specifications
Apart from the launch details, the tipster has also shared what looks like the marketing materials for the upcoming Poco smartphones. These leaked posters reveal most of the key specs of both phones.
According to the leaks, Poco X8 Power is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel could support 3,840Hz PWM dimming and offer up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness with 25 percent screen coverage. It is also tipped to feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Wet Touch 2.0 support.
The Poco X8 Power could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A lower-end variant may instead come with UFS 2.2 storage. The leaked specifications reportedly claim an AnTuTu score of more than 1.15 million points.
Battery capacity is expected to be another major highlight. The phone packs a massive 10,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging. It is also tipped to carry a six-year battery life rating.
For photography, the Poco X8 Power could feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is reportedly 8.68mm thick and could offer IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water.
Poco may also provide four major OS updates and six years of security updates for the X8 Power.

Meanwhile, the standard Poco X8 use the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and the leaked marketing poster reveals the phone achieves an AnTuTu score of around 830,000 points.
The smartphone may feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. The screen is also expected to support Wet Touch 2.0 and use Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.
The Poco X8 could feature a 9,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Like the Power model, the phone is reportedly expected to have a six-year battery life rating.
For cameras, the Poco X8 may feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a 16-megapixel front camera. The smartphone is also tipped to come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. Other reported features include four OS updates, six years of security updates, Hyper AI and Xiaomi Interconnectivity.
Notably, Poco has yet to officially confirm these details, which means the leaked specifications and launch timeline should be treated as unofficial for now.
