Samsung could soon increase the prices of some of its flagship smartphones in India. According to the latest details shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the company is preparing to raise the prices of the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold8 series in the country.
According to the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra could become ₹10,000 more expensive in the first week of October. The Galaxy Z Fold8 series is also tipped to receive a ₹10,000 price hike by October 10. Here are more details.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Price Hike Tipped
According to the leak, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra will reportedly see a ₹10,000 price increase in India. The hike is expected to take effect in the first week of October.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 currently starts at ₹74,999 for the 12GB+128GB variant. The 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB models are priced at ₹84,999 and ₹1,04,999, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra currently costs ₹1,19,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+512GB model is priced at ₹1,39,999.
If the price hike is implemented across the listed variants, the Galaxy S25 could start at ₹84,999, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra could start at ₹1,29,999.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Series Could Also Get ₹10,000 Hike
Samsung’s foldable flagship lineup could also become more expensive soon. The tipster claims that the Galaxy Z Fold8 series will receive a ₹10,000 price hike by October 10.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 currently starts at ₹1,74,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. Its 12GB+512GB model is priced at ₹1,94,999. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at ₹1,94,999 for 12GB+256GB, while the 12GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB variants are priced at ₹2,14,999 and ₹2,54,999, respectively.
The Galaxy Z Flip8, meanwhile, is currently priced at ₹1,14,999 for 12GB+256GB and ₹1,34,999 for 12GB+512GB.
Based on the leak, the ₹10,000 increase is specifically mentioned for the Galaxy Z Fold8 series. Notably, the tip does not state that the Galaxy Z Flip8 will also receive a price hike.
Growing Trend of Flagship Price Increases
The news of an upcoming flagship price hike comes shortly after Samsung reportedly increased the prices of its Galaxy S26 flagship series in India. The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra have all received price revisions with the increase ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 depending on the variant. This was the first price revision for the Galaxy S26 lineup since its launch earlier this year.
The Samsung price increases also come after Apple raised the price of the iPhone 17 in India following the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Duo.
Samsung and Apple are among the last major smartphone brands to raise prices of their current flagship models. Meanwhile, several Chinese smartphone manufacturers have already increased prices multiple times.
For now, Samsung has not officially confirmed the reported price hikes for the Galaxy S25 or Galaxy Z Fold8 series.
