After widespread speculations and rumours, HMD Global has finally launched the much-awaited Nokia X5 in China, which will be available on Sale from July 19 in three colour variants; Night Black, Baltic Sea Blue, and Glacier White.
The registration of the device has already started via Suning.com. It appears in two variants in terms of storage and RAM; the 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM is priced at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 9,999), while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB Rom carries the price tag of CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 13,999). It is the second X series Nokia smartphones, the other one is Nokia X6 unleashed earlier this year.
Along with a polycarbonate frame the phone flaunts a glass body on both the sides. According to Nokia, screen-to-body ratio of this phone is 84%. This dual-SIM phone features a 5.86-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display with 2.5D glass protection and coupled with an aspect ratio of 19:9.
Coming to the photography, the phone features a dual rear sensor, which comprises of a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The front camera features an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 80.4 degree angle of view. Most importantly, it appears with AI image technology, built-in portrait background blur, portrait skin mode, and HDR mode.
The phone operates on pure Android 8.1 Oreo OS and is backed by MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core chipset. Nokia X5 is powered by a 3060mAh battery, which Nokia claims it will offer 27 hours of life time, 17.5 hours of talk time, 19.5 hours of music playback, 5.8 hours during gaming, and 12 hours of video playback. The connectivity options include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, FM radio, and Dual 4G Dual VoLTE.
