Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Wednesday launched two new smartphones — Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 — in India.
Both the new models come in two storage variants. Redmi Y3 with 3GB+32GB variant and 4GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively.
Redmi 7 with 2GB+32GB variant and 3GB+32GB variant will be available at Rs 7,999 and Rs 8,999 respectively.
“We’re excited to offer our all-new Redmi Y3 which redefines the selfie experience for our Mi Fans with its 32MP super selfie camera. Embodying the stunning Aura Prism design, Redmi Y3 is a significant jump from previous iterations,” Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Xiaomi India, said in a statement.
“In addition, we also launched the ultimate all-rounder, Redmi 7. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632, Redmi 7 embodies the beautiful Aura Smoke design combining several great features including a dual rear camera, making it a well-rounded device across departments,” he added.
Both smartphones come with 6.26-inch HD+ dot notch display and have 4,000 mAh battery.
Redmi 7 sports dual rear camera setup of 12MP + 2MP. It is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) scene detection (30+ scenes) and PDAF support.
Redmi Y3 in bold red, elegant blue and prime black colors will be available from April 30. Redmi 7 in eclipse black, comet blue and lunar red from April 29. Both the devices will be available on Mi.com, Amazon and Mi Homes.
The company also announced Mi LED smart bulb. With more than 16 million colors supported, Mi LED Smart Bulb (white and color) can be controlled via the Mi Home app, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, etc. With a lifespan of 11 years, Mi LED Smart Bulb (white and color) lives up to the quality standards set by Xiaomi across categories.
Mi LED smart bulb (white and color) will go live on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform on April 26.
