Xiaomi is gearing up to bring dual cameras and a bezel-less display, packed in an affordable wrapper, in the form of the Redmi S2. The rumour mill in is in overdrive for the same and the latest one hints at the possible specs and release date.
According to a new report, the Xiaomi Redmi S2, falling in the budget category is soon to arrive to the Indian shores and in China.
The alleged Redmi S2 is expected to sport a bezel-less display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9 and a screen resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The smartphone is expected to come with 16GB of inbuilt storage, however, there is no word whether or not there will be more storage options.
The camera department is likely to be house dual cameras for the back. The primary snapper at the back could be rated at 12-megapixel with either Sony IMX486 or OmniVision OV12A10 sensor, while the secondary one could stand at 5-megapixel. The front-facing camera could be rated at 5-megapixel.
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is likely to be backed by a 3,080mAh battery and possibly run Android 8.1 Oreo. Additionally, the smartphone is speculated to come with Face Unlock feature.
