Chinese company Xiaomi has been rumoured to unveil the Mi 6X for a while. Settling the mandatory leaks and rumours, the Xiaomi Mi 6X is now official in its home country.
Starting with the highlights, the first is the camera department which houses dual cameras at the back, rated at 20-megapixel (Sony IMX376) and 12-megapixel (Sony IMX486). The dual cameras support Portrait mode and AI features for easy scene recognition. The front camera stands at 20-megapixel with Sony IMX376 sensor and also supports AI features with AI Smart Beauty 4.0 tech.
Second highlight is the 5.99-inch Full Screen Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9 for thin bezels. The smartphone comes with a pixel density rated at 403ppi.
Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mobile platform with Adreno 512 GPU and comes in three RAM/ROM configurations: 4GB RAM/64GB ROM, 6GB RAM/64GB ROM and 6GB RAM/128GB ROM. The device gets its fuel from a 3,010mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
The dual-SIM Mi 6X comes with several connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. Additionally, the device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and comes in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Red and Blue colour variants.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is priced at CNY 1,599 (4GB RAM/64GB ROM) and CNY 1,799 (6GB RAM/64GB ROM) and CNY 1,999 (6GB RAM/128GB ROM) and will be up for grabs, starting April 27 in China.
