Vivo X21 with under-the-display fingerprint sensor now in India


Vivo has unveiled a new smartphone with under-the display fingerprint scanner- the Vivo X21 at an event in India.

The new Vivo X21 comes with the under-the-display fingerprint scanning technology as its highlight. The users can unlock the smartphone by tapping anywhere on the display.

Other highlights include 6.28-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a notch and an aspect ratio rated at 19:9, and vertically-arranged dual rear cameras as their highlights.

On the camera front, the Vivo X21 comprises a dual-camera setup at the back, rated at 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel with LED flash, with another camera duo at the front, standing at 12-megapixel. The smartphones support camera features such as AI tech, Bokeh effect, AR stickers, Beauty mode, among many more.


The smartphone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 6GB of RAM. The device has 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

The Vivo X21 is backed by a 3,200mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top, and is eligible for Android P beta programme. The smartphones, with dual SIM card slots, come with various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB 2.0, GPS, and OTG support.  Additionally, the smartphone supports facial recognition and comes in Black colour.

The Vivo X21 is priced at Rs 35,990 and will be up for grabs, exclusively via Flipkart and official Vivo e-store.

Furthermore, on purchase of the Vivo X21, customers can get up to Rs 3,000 discount on exchange, five percent cashback on SBI credit cards, and no-cost EMI up to 12 months on all credit cards.
