Back at this year’s MWC, Vivo showcased the Apex smartphone with several pieces of innovative technology being a part of it. Now, the prototype is now an official product, christened the Vivo Nex, launched in China.
Moving on the road of innovation, the Vivo Nex has a 6.59-inch Ultra FullView Super AMOLED display. The display with a 91.24 per cent of screen-to-body ratio allows for a really bezel-less experience.
Another highlight is the elevating front snapper rated at 8-megapixel which rises in 0.8 seconds and goes back after use. At the back, there is a dual-camera module, standing at 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel. The smartphone has elements of AI, with some for the cameras too, such as AI Scene Recognition, AI HDR, AI Filters and AI Photo Composition.
Another attraction is the Screen SoundCasting Technology which turns the screen into a speaker. Additionally, there is the inclusion of Vivo’s In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology, also present in the Vivo X20UD and X21.
Other specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU, 8GB of RAM, 256G of internal storage, and 4,000mAh battery. In addition to this, there is another variant of the Vivo Nex with Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of ROM.
Furthermore, Vivo’s Jovi virtual assistant has been improved with enhanced voice commands, image identification and easy accessibility with a dedicated AI button.
However, the Vivo Nex will be available only in China.
