Couple of days back, Vivo has announced to launch its upcoming handset Vivo Nex at an event in Shanghai on June 12. The company has already launched the teaser on its official Twitter account. It seems that Vivo NEX is the commercial variant of APEX, the concept smartphone introduced by the company at the MWC 2018.
Initially, it was speculated that the device would appear in two varints, but now recent leaks on the Chinese 3C certification website suggests that the product would come in three variants; Nex A, Nex S, and Nex. A bezel less display with approx 91 percent screen-to-body ratio will feature the handset, while the additional features include pop-up selfie camera and half-screen fingerprinting scanning tech.
Vivo has also announced that NEX and NEX S will be unleashed globally, while NEX A will be available only in China. The earlier leaks suggested that the premium variant of NEX series would sport op-up front camera on top and the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled will power the handset. An 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage will be paired in this smartphone with a price tag of CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 52,600).
With CNY 3,798 (roughly Rs. 40,000) price range, the other variant of the device will not sport any popo-up camera, but instead the selfie camera will be available in the bottom end. The Snapdragon 660 processor would back the handset coupled with 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage.
