Samsung announces Galaxy Tab S4 and Galaxy Tab A (10.5)


Samsung has been rumoured to unveil new tablets for a while. Now, the South Korean major has made the much-rumoured Galaxy Tab S4 and the Galaxy Tab A (10.5) official.

Starting with the Galaxy Tab S4, the new tablet has the major highlight in the form of the Samsung DeX support, converting the 2-in-1 Android tablet into a desktop.

The new tablet supports an improved S Pen which can take notes, doodle around, translate, organize notes and send personalized texts using Samsung Live Message.

Another attraction is the 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio rated at 16:10, featuring thin bezels in comparison to the predecessor Galaxy Tab S3.

The tablet is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. It comes in two ROM options; 64GB and 256GB. On the camera front, the tablet has a 13-megapixel rear snapper with autofocus and an 8-megapixel front snapper.

The device is backed by a huge 7,300mAh battery with fast charging and runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

Coming to the Galaxy Tab A (10.5), the device comes with support for Samsung SmartThings for a connected home experience.

It comes with a 10.5-inch WVGA display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. The tablet has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 400GB via a memory card.

Camera-wise, there is an 8-megapixel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel front camera. It too, is backed by a 7,300mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

Both the Galaxy Tab S4 and Tab A (10.5) comes in LTE and Wi-Fi only variants.
